Product Overview
The screen is constructed of all non-corrosive materials,
is a rear cleaning design with multiple rakes that travel up
the screen and discharge over the back into a conveyor or a
receptacle provided by the Owner. The design is very simple
but effective, there is no wiper or spray system required to
remove the screenings from the bars and all the items that
eventually need replacing; bearings, chain, rakes, drive unit
are bolted connections making replacement very easy. The screen
components have a 30,000 hour operating life (that is 7 years
if the screen operates 12 hours per day) and Enviroquip provides
a 2 year warranty from startup for parts and labor.
The trend in the wastewater industry is moving toward finer
screening. The advent of Membranes is one driving force behind
fine screening but there is also the need to keep more of the
non-organic material out of treatment plants of all types.

Benefits
Removing screenings from the influent wastewater not only
helps a treatment plants overall appearance but eliminates
costly labor and parts to unclog and maintain pumps, aerators
and keep other mechanical pieces of equipment in good working
order. Enviroquip’s fine screen design is simple and
effective requiring none of the routine maintenance required
of other mechanical equipment.

The Enviroquip fine screen can be used for screening domestic
waste ahead of MBR plants and conventional activated sludge
plants or SBR’s, industrial wastes such as food and beverage
processing and scum separation. The Enviroquip fine screen
fills a void in the market place. Some of our screens are designed
specifically for lower flow rates and the physical size and
price of the screen reflects the lower flow rates. A lot of
utilities that could not afford an automatic screen now have
that opportunity. The screens can be retrofitted in existing
treatment plants replacing manual or old mechanical screens.
